There was juuuuuuuuust enough rain Sunday night to break the all-time monthly precipitation record in Indianapolis. After a drop or two of rain Monday: the monthly total stands at 13.14 inches. Here were the *previously* wettest July months: It’s not only the wettest July on record. It’s the wettest month, period. 13.14″ July 2015 13.12″ July 1875 12.69″ January 1950 12.21″ June 1875 Wettest Summers ever (Jun-July-Aug) 28.99″ 1875 21.50″ 2015 SO FAR 21.08″ 1979 And it also leads to an interesting stat:
At Indy, all of the record extremes for July have occurred since 2011: Driest: 2011. Wettest: 2015. Coldest: 2014. Warmest: 2012. #inwx
