UPDATE: The high temperature forecast and area of possibly severe weather are both updated for the afternoon.
MORNING RAIN TOTALS:
.66″ Terre Haute
.25″ Lafayette
.11″ Indianapolis
.06″ Bloomington
Nothing was measured at the Muncie station.
A Big Ten day stretch of dry weather ends with a bang today and tonight. Showers are likely this morning, especially north and west of Indianapolis. The sun breaks in for awhile this afternoon, quickly jacking the temp into the 80s one more (last?) time.
Showers and storms are likely tonight through tomorrow morning, ahead of a strong cold front that should pass during Friday morning rush hour. Storms have a slight risk of reaching severe levels in the west half of the state.
Friday temps will hit the upper 60s ahead of that front, then slowly fall the rest of the day. One to two inches of rain is likely.
