Here’s a chart showing where yesterday’s storms soaked in the most. Indianapolis officially picked up half an inch. It looks like were highest along the northern leg of 465, including Fishers and Carmel, back to Lebanon. Another heavier streak can be seen from Speedway back to the west. The heaviest rain fell around Greencastle and Frankfort.
Today will be the third consecutive above-average temperature day in Indianapolis. I counted an eight day stretch in the second half of June, and we could exceed that here in the second half of August. (BTW: There was a ONE day stretch of above average numbers in July.)
The next storm chance will arrive later this evening and overnight into Thursday morning. An area of rain and storms dropping southeast Thursday from Illinois could graze Terre Haute and Bloomington this afternoon.
