A frosty beginning gives way to sunshine, and temperatures close to where they were yesterday. I do think it won’t feel as cold today, because the wind will be lighter and not as gusty. The average high is in the mid 60s. Indy should be right around 60 today. It will be just under 60 in Lafayette, Muncie, and Richmond. The low to mid 60s are likely from Terre Haute over to Bloomington and Columbus.
WEDNESDAY LOWS:
31 Lafayette
32 Muncie
33 Richmond
34 Indianapolis
36 Bloomington
36 Shelbyville
It won’t be as cold tonight. Central Indiana goes back above average tomorrow and Friday. A frontal system will approach Thursday evening. Up to a half inch of precipitation may fall, and a little thunder is possible. Showers should end as Friday begins, Temps will be just a little cooler behind the front, and that should equal seasonal highs this weekend.
Saturday looks stunning for strutting mutts at the Motor Speedway. Sunday still features a chance of showers, especially by evening. A low pressure system at the surface will get locked up into an upper level low and move verrrrrrrrrry slowly from the Plains into the Midwest from Sunday night through Wednesday. Expect a dreary stretch of days, with up to two inches of rain. It will turn cooler than average. A couple of computer models hint at snow mixing with rain next Wednesday, the last day of the month.
