Temperatures will stay mostly in the 60s this afternoon, with a cooler north breeze up to about 15 mph.
This morning’s rain brought just .05 of an inch of rain to the Indianapolis Airport. There was only .04 of an inch in Muncie, and .08″ in Terre Haute.
Amounts were higher in Lafayette, where .31 was recorded, and .22″ fell in South Bend.
The Indianapolis year-to-date rain deficit is back down to 3.20 inches. After today the next rain chance is Monday afternoon and Tuesday.
Clouds will thin through the afternoon. It will be mostly clear tonight through Sunday. A week ago many Friday Night Football games were postponed because of heavy rain. This week you won’t need an umbrella – just a jacket.
College football? Expect a bright and brisk morning in both Lafayette and Bloomington. Game time temps will rise from the upper 60s to the low 70s.
Tailgating temperatures in Indy Sunday will rise quickly through the 60s, with game time temps already in the low to mid 70s.
Highs will be below average for at least a week, although we’ll be close Sunday and Monday.
