Weekend weather plans? DMB is AOK, as well as the Zombie 5K. IndySTAR reporter Vic Ryckaert recently previewed the Run for Your Lives (not a typo) race at Boondocks Farm in Knightstown:
“Participants drop $87 to flee through an obstacle-laden course while being chased by zombies. Those who dodge the zombies and make it to the end are deemed survivors.”
I don’t know if low humidity will keep you from joining the ranks of the un-dead, but it couldn’t hurt, right?
The Dave Matthews Band played a memorably soggy show in Noblesville a few years ago, but it was high and dry last night, and it will be more of the same tonight at Klipsch.
Could this drought last as long as a jam-band solo? The three month outlook for July/August/September has about equal chances for below or above normal precipitation around here. Do the math. We’re going to need to be above average for awhile to climb out of our dusty hole.
No hedging on temps–above average seems a safe bet through the rest of summer.
There will probably be some scattered stuff again Sunday late afternoon and evening. A cold front will arrive from the north, so look in that direction when you are doubling checking the Doppler tomorrow. The most likely time for Indianapolis will be between about 6pm Sunday and 3am Monday.
Behind that front? Wow! Monday and Tuesday are as good as it gets. It’s actually been a beautiful stretch lately. Unless you’re trying to grow something.
Or escape from the zombies.
