Do people still carbon copy? If so, today is a “cc” of yesterday. On Twitter we’d say “yesterday=today,” but I have more room here.
Once again today fair weather clouds could crowd the sky from midday into afternoon. The Indianapolis Airport yesterday started the morning with a few clouds at 25 to 30 thousand feet. By 11am there were all sorts of cumulus hanging out at about 3000 feet above you.
Clouds were thicker in east central Indiana, and that had some effect on temps. The Indy high was 74, but it only made it to 69 in Muncie.
The forecast tomorrow turns just plain mostly sunny as surface high pressure moves in. The high is over Lake Superior Wednesday morning and by late Thursday night and Friday morning it will be right over Indiana. I still don’t see any decent rain chances until next Tuesday.
Circulation turns hot and humid on the high’s back side this weekend, as winds start to pull in moisture from the Deep South. And not the good, sweet tea-kind of moisture, either.
They could use a little moisture in the form of rain, and up to two inches could fall today in Georgia and Florida. Severe weather threats today include Colorado, Wyoming, Nebraska, and Kansas.
Glass half-full department: The storm that came onshore from the west coast earlier this week has caused most fire and wind warnings in the West to be cancelled for the moment. That storm prompted reports of four tornadoes in Montana yesterday.
People in the Northeast are still standing by for summer, thanks to persistent low pressure, bringing below average temps and rain today.
