It’s deja vu all over again, with about the same temps in central Indiana as yesterday. Those temps were spread out in the corners of the state with a cold front working through. The high was 66 in South Bend and 87 in Evansville. I was three degrees off in both cities, going too high in the Bend, and too low down on the river. I did better in the middle. The Indy high was 75, and I promised you 76.
And how about the sky lately? You had to go up 30-thousand feet Wednesday to find thin wispy clouds. You won’t find much in the way of clouds around here through Saturday. I’m cirrus!
Full sun for Fast Friday at the Track, and those Track Tans will be cooking through Pole Day and Bump Day. The B Rip Art Fair and the Geist Half Marathon all look UN-threatened by rain, but you’ll be fighting the heat and I’ll be hyping hydration. It now looks like the worst of the humidity will build in Saturday afternoon and evening, through Sunday. Rain chances return Monday and will be around for a few days. Your plants probably wouldn’t mind some hydration, too.
COAST TO COAST:
Doesn’t look like any severe weather around the US for the rest of the work week. It’s too dry in some places. Red Flag/Fire Danger warnings are up for southern Utah and northern Arizona, as well as much of Nevada and a small part of neighboring California. The days started with frost and freeze Advisories from parts of New England all the way back to northeastern Ohio, as well as the U.P. of Michigan and the northern part of Michigan’s Lower Peninsula.
INDY ALMANAC:
Average high today is 73 and the average low is 53. Records are 90 and 36. Sunrise time is 6:28 and sun set is at 8:55. This is the time of year we pick up a minute or two of daylight every day.
UV INDEX:
Today’s Index is 8/”Very High.”
POLLEN COUNT:
If nothing else, we are staying out of the “High” zone. But just barely. The Indianapolis Pollen Count will be “Medium-High” now through the weekend.
