Indianapolis has a slight risk of severe weather today, with the biggest chance coming in the afternoon. Several inches of rain and wind gusts to 70mph in the overnight and early morning hours of Friday caused Flood Warnings in west central Illinois and Eastern Iowa. At the moment severe weather doesn’t look likely this weekend, but the risk could be back Monday.
Extra clouds and rainy radar means a few less degrees today, Central Indiana highs a degree or two either side of 80. Yesterday was indeed the hottest day of the year with a high of 85, but we still missed the record by one degree, Dew point temperatures again sat in the soggy mid 60s.
I think it will be a Muggy Mini. Showers and storms from Friday night and early morning Saturday could still be pushing off the south early morning Saturday as you wake up and lace up. My best estimate is they will move out in time. There won’t be much of a breeze.
Storms could fire again Saturday afternoon but Saturday night and Sunday look quiet. Expect rain to move back in from the south Sunday night, and then wet weather Monday
POLLEN COUNT:
Looks like the count will bounce back and forth a little over the next few days. We’ll be in the “High” range today, then “Medium-High” Saturday, “High” Sunday, and “Medium-High” once more Monday.
INDY ALMANAC:
The average high today is 69 and the average low is 49. Records are 88 and 30. The sunrise time is 6:42 and sunset is 8:43.
