Some fog, a breeze, and a freeze for some later – all parts of the Thursday Indiana weather story. The sky cleared and the wind went to sleep early Thursday morning in the north half of the state, setting the stage for fog. Pre-sunrise visibilities were under a mile in Lafayette. Winds will wake up through midday and afternoon, and could gust to about 25mph statewide.
A cold front spends Thursday morning moving through the state, sweeping away showers and storms that brought reports of hail to southern Illinois and Indiana late last night and very early this morning. Lots of lightning accompanied the storms in central Indiana. You don’t need to worry about the weather today, but there is another Freeze Watch up for much of the northern half of the state tonight.
Still looks dreary Friday night into Saturday. Nothing severe, just wet. The weekend is a split decision. Sunday should be nice, although still cooler than average. We’ve spent April paying for March, so maybe May means a temperature re-set?
