(UPDATED NUMBER OF FOG DAYS) A follower writes: “My fifth grade class is wanting to see if the old wives tale of fog days in August is true. We have searched the web and we cannot find the accurate number of foggy mornings in August thus far. Do you happen to have that data? We are going to see if the number of foggy mornings in August really do equal the number of snows during the winter.”
The n-n-n-n-number is n-n-n-n-nineteen. B-b-b-b-brr. (Number of days fog was reported at the Indianapolis Airport through August 29.) Fog was reported for an hour on August 30, and on the morning of August 31. The magic number is now 21!
