Indiana’s Weather For Saturday

April 14, 2012

Showers are likely today, with some thunder also possible. The rain will fade from south to north this evening, and I think we can now take the rain chance out of Sunday’s story. A cold front brings the showers and storms back after midnight Sunday night into Monday morning.

Showers likely…
64 South Bend
67 Lafayette
67 Muncie/Marion
68 Anderson
69 Indianapolis
76 Evansville, with just a slight chance of showers.

A significant Saturday outbreak of severe weather has been advertised the last few days in the Plains, and prospects still look good for spinning, supercell storms today in Nebraska, Kansas, and Oklahoma.

Rain will dampen the pollen level just a bit today, down to “Medium/High.” Dry and windy weather tomorrow will send it back to “High,” where it stays through Tuesday.

The average high today is 63 and the average low is 42. Records are 85 and 24. Sunrise time is 7:08 and sunset is 8:23.

Today: Periods of showers likely, and possibly some thunder. High 69.

Tonight: Chance of showers, mainly in the evening. Low 60.

Sunday: Mostly to partly sunny. Breezy, with south/southwest winds gust to 35mph. High 80.

Sunday Night: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly after midnight. Low 62.

Monday: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly in the morning and midday. High 71.

Monday Night: Mostly cloudy. Low 43.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny. High 59.

Tuesday Night: Mostly clear. Low 41.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny. High 65.

Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy. Low 47.
