Do they call it the Flying Pig Marathon because some creepy guy will be running it in the nude? Or because Cincinnati Police were fast on the Taser button to bring the buck-naked boy down?
Brett S. Henderson, a 35 year old Ohio dude was charged with public indecency and obstructing official business.
Police say Henderson was told to exit the race and get in a police car but he refused, running around an officer and continuing to run in the race. Eventually, Henderson was instructed to get in a car or he would be Tased. Henderson kept on running and an officer Tased him. Henderson’s mother is quoted as saying that her son had been wearing running shorts but that they’d kept slipping down. He “kept running without shorts because he was determined to complete the race he had trained for.” Hey, I got a PR going here!
A Running World Digest reader reports “I was a few feet away when the cops caught him. As he lay on the ground, he kept shouting, ‘I lost my shorts!’ He was running at about 7:40 pace and was not totally naked… he had shoes on!” Seven-forty! I should re-evaluate MY wardrobe.
Latest forecast for the Mini: Temps rising through the 50’s, 40% shower chance, and 10mph wind from the south.
