My Latest Radio Partner
It was just as cold and windy as it was supposed to be Saturday. The Kenyans asked me to stay out of the Mini Marathon this year so they’d have a better shot, and their plan seems to have paid off. Hope you had a good walk/run if you participated. My running partner (aka my oldest son) and I are doing the Geist Half in 2 weeks.
Mom’s Day will be brighter and not as breezy, after a frosty start. This is my first Mother’s Day without Mom around. My parents cross my mind every day, with or without Hallmark involved. I miss them, and I’m glad to have my kids’ Mom around to spend the day with. My Dad was lucky to have a sweet, devoted partner for a lifetime, and so am I. Hope you get to spend time with your family today. Don’t waste a minute.
Coming next week: I join a brand new radio station in South Bend, emcee/open at Crackers Broad Ripple, and stop the oil in the Gulf Coast! Two outta three ain’t bad. If Mom were here, right about now she’d tell me I’m working too much.
Tell your friends in the Bend about News Talk 95.3 Michiana’s News Channel, which launches tomorrow morning. I’ll have weather updates all day long, and be live with morning host Gary Sieber. 95.3 MNC also kicks off with the three biggest names in national talk radio, and local news coverage, in addition to Indiana’s Weatherman watching the sky. This station is operated by the same radio group that owns WMEE in Ft. Wayne. They owned ‘MEE when I was hired there. At the age of 16. Who says you can’t go home? I’m looking forward to bigger checks this time around lol.
Crackers Headliner Andi Smith
At Crackers I’m on the bill Wednesday through Saturday Nights with headliner Andi Smith. Get info, and your tickets by clicking this.
Thanks for following me here, and on FB, and on Twitter, and on WZPL, and WQME, and WXXC and for clicking this link to get my discount code from Hare Chevy, and for voting for me as Best Weatherman in NUVO, and for excusing my occasional run-on sentences.

I grew up in SB. Gary Sieber used to do news on U93 — this was, like, the early 80s. One jock used to call him “the Sieb,” and (the schtick at least was that) he hated it.
I’ll hit him up with “the Sieb” off the air at least. Don’t wanna blow the gig on the first day.
