8:25 AM…Precipitation continues across the southern half of Central Indiana. Drier air to the north is keeping the precipitation at bay there. Light rain or sleet or snow will spread northeast. South of I-70 will see a mix of rain and snow Friday morning before changing to all snow in the afternoon.

In the middle, including the Indianapolis Metro, there could be a mix of rain, freezing rain, and/or snow in the morning.

North of the I-70 corridor the change to snow will occur during the mid morning hours Friday.

The heaviest snows will occur during the Friday afternoon commute into Friday night, tapering to light snow by daybreak Saturday.

Final snow totals over the area could range from 3-6 inches west of the Indy Metro, and 4-8 from Indy eastward.
