This Map Shows Where The Snow Is
It was nice to see sun yesterday, but clouds return for Monday. A couple of periods of snow showers are possible in Indiana today, mainly in the morning, and again, enhanced by Lake Michigan, in the northern half this evening. Any accumulations in Central Indiana would be an inch or less north of Indy, and less than an inch in the Indy metro area and southward. Then: no big storms until Friday night and Saturday, when moderating temps may lead to the ol’ “Wintry Mix.”
We (and the country) could use a break. The map shows an analysis of where snow covers the country. That’s a lot of real estate.
It has been the coldest, snowiest start to a winter in at least 21 years for the eastern & central United States. BTW: this Wednesday we’re halfway through what meteorologists (as opposed to calendars) call “winter.” That may be the day central Indiana finally hits freezing for the first time in 20-10.
