Sunday Chill/Monday Snow

January 10, 2010

mon_morn

The Indy morning low was 6 above. Well timed clouds kept temps above zero in some places overnight, not so much in others. It got down to 5 below in the ‘Haute. The low was zero in Ft. Wayne. It was 4 above in Muncie. The low was 9 in Bloomington.

A clipper zips through Monday. It doesn’t have much moisture to work with. The best chance of snow is Monday morning, although it could start after midnight tonight. The northern third of the state should see less than an inch. Around an inch is possible elsewhere by evening. The attached map shows a broad area of ligh precipitation Monday. Then you can exhale until the next possible trouble later Friday into next weekend. That may be more of a rain/snow/mix event, thanks to an overall moderation in temps that begins Thursday. Good news, bad news…
