Seemed like a good idea. A TV station puts up a billboard. Standard Old Media Anchor Team Photo on one side, New Media Twitter Feed, in real time on the other side. Pretty cool, until a tweet flies by that says “3 Accused Of Gang Rape.” Next to the 3 smiling Anchor Team faces. And someone stops to take a snapshot, photo-journaling the hapless Journalists. The News Director and General Manager of the station were allegedly suspended, which seems a little much for something obviously unexpected. Moral for Anchors: When they say we’ll be “On Your Side” in TV, keep an eye on that side.

Treats them right for using those annoying digital billboards. They blind you as you drive down the road.
